FRANCISTOWN: The disputed winner of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primaries (Bulela Ditswe) in Serowe North East, Kgotla Autlwetse, has rejected the re-run ordered by the party and launched a blistering attack on BDP electoral board chairman, Parks Tafa.

In a letter to Tafa as the board chairman, Autlwetse says the party has been favouring his opponent, Ramadeluka ‘Ndelu’ Seretse in all decisions and never gave him a hearing. He said the re-run was ordered despite the fact that Seretse’s appeal against his win was a nullity because he did not follow procedure. He accused Tafa of conflict of interest because he is Seretse’s attorney.

“It’s public knowledge that Tafa is Seretse’s attorney and he is close to Seretse personally. It’s apparent that there has been communication between Seretse and Tafa regarding the issue at hand in my absence and to my exclusion,” Autlwetse charges.
