Local law firm, Collins Newman has been ranked among the best in the world. An annual study by the prestigious Chambers and Partners has described the Botswana firm as top-notch.

Every year, Chambers and Partners' researchers conduct thousands of interviews with lawyers and their clients worldwide, assessing firm and individual lawyers strengths. The results are published in the influential Chambers Global Edition, with rankings of leading legal firms, criteria for selection and commentary.

In the Chambers Global 2010 Edition, Collins Newman received a Band One ranking - the highest possible - with glowing praise being showered on the 33-year-old law firm for its leading role in general business law. "The firm cemented its status as a leader in transactional activities with roles on a number of major deals. The five-partner team is praised for its spot-on, skilled advice and consistently top-notch work product, even when exceptionally busy. The past year (2009) saw the firm take a leading role on several power matters," the publication says.
