Cluster Policing Volunteers Awarded

The minister made these remarks at the cluster policing awards ceremony held at Otse Police College recently.
Seretse said the objective of cluster policing is to identify the root causes of crime in communities and involve the police in keeping them safe. He said they came up with the initiative after realising that police can only achieve this with the help of the community itself.
Cluster policing, said Seretse, is not meant to replace existing crime fighting initiatives like neighborhood watch and twantsho borukuthi, but rather to enhance them. He said through this, police and community partnership is strengthened, while at the same time giving due recognition to dikgosi as the main drivers in crime prevention.
The Ministry of Agriculture, local producers, retailers, and industry associations must work together to overcome the obstacles hindering vegetable production and distribution.This collaborative approach is essential to improve the availability, quality, and affordability of vegetables in the market.Firstly, the Ministry of Agriculture should provide support and guidance to local farmers to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
