LOBATSE: Boswelatlou ward councillor, Themba Stimela yesterday decried the bad state of facilities at the Athlone Hospital.

Speaking at a handover ceremony where Boswelatlou Ward Development Committee (WDC) donated blankets worth  P25,000 to the hospital, Stimela said the hospital has been ignored for a while hence the bad state of facilities which have become a safety risk for both patients and staff.

“We have over time been raising concerns about this hospital at our council sittings, denouncing the bad state of facilities in this hospital; internal roads are scrappy and dilapidated whilst some roads and buildings have been abandoned. Roads within this hospital are very bad and we fear accidents might happen at any time.
