Civil servants snub CDC chairpersons meeting

CHADIBE: Civil servants failed to attend a kgotla meeting that was organised by Central District Council (CDC) chairperson Peter Williams on Monday. The chairperson’s visit was part of ‘taking the council to the people’ - an initiative which gives the public the opportunity to learn how his office works and to promote greater understanding of CDC processes.

Williams arrived alone at the kgotla and was later joined by the Tonota Sub-District Council chairperson Colonel Anderson Moalosi.

The absence of officers became apparent when Williams appeared clueless to the residents’ pleas, concerns and questions.
