Choppies launches employee housing scheme

Retail giant Choppies is raising the bar on employee welfare, launching a pioneering housing scheme aimed at helping staff build and own property.

The announcement was made during the sixth annual Choppies Long Service Awards, where the company also recognised employees for 10, 15, and 20 years of dedicated service.

Speaking at the award ceremony held on Friday evening, Choppies Group Head of Human Resources, Molatedi Kgotla, highlighted that the initiative is part of Choppies’ long-standing commitment to staff welfare, which previously included the rollout of the P4,000 minimum living wage.
