Chinese In Botswana Ignore Family Planning

FRANCISTOWN: In their country, they would not dare be caught with more than one child, but in Botswana, or Francistown, to be more precise, Chinese immigrants have apparently thrown their native country's family planning law out the window.

The northern city's business district has been the domain of the Chinese for sometime now. Some have been in the country for more than 15 years, and these are those that look back to years when business was brisk and shake their heads at the present prevailing situation.

"Business little. No buy," they say with a despairing shake of the head.
