CDC chair decries low developmental budget

CHADIBE: Central District Council (CDC) chairperson, councillor Peter Williams has told Chadibe villagers that the district’s budget is far too low to meet its needs.

Williams said this when addressing a kgotla meeting on Monday as part of efforts by the council to engage communities.

He said the district’s budget this financial year (2016/17) is P733 million, far too small as the district needs P1 billion. He said the CDC is the largest district in the country covering 450 villages.
