BUAN mandate is to train agriculture graduates PIC: KAGISO ONKATSWITSE

The contract of the acting vice chancellor of the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) Dr Mataba Tapela has been extended.

The former principal of Botswana College of Agriculture, (BCA) Tapela was appointed the acting vice chancellor of the new agricultural university on February 1, 2016 by the Minister of Agriculture Patrick Ralotsia, to oversee its transformation. His contract was set to end in July 31, 2016 but has since been extended to 2017.

Assistant minister of Agriculture Kgotla Autlwetse told Mmegi recently that Tapela’s contract was extended after it elapsed at the end of last month.
