BTU Racing Against Time For Audit

Two days before their elective congress in Palapye, the Botswana Teachers Union (BTU) is racing against time to have their audited books of accounts ready for the congress that ends on Saturday.

The Monitor can confirm that by Friday last week the auditors were still at the BTU headquarters, working on the audit. However BTU president Johannes Tshukudu on Saturday told The Monitor he has already received the draft of the audit, and assured that come the BTU congress the audited financials will be availed.

The Monitor understands that BTU’s financial year runs from January to December but it is only recently that their auditors have started work on their books of accounts.
