New beginnings with Botswana Republic Party Biggie Butale

A new political party, Botswana Republic Party (BRP) which is the brainchild of Biggie Butale, a former president of the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) has joined a swelling list of the country's political parties.

Some of Butale’s supporters are rumoured to be planning to defect to the new party, reports have suggested.

Meanwhile, Butale is optimistic about the future of the BRP, citing interest from people who are unhappy with their current political affiliations.
