Braille centre to open next year

The Botswana Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted will open a braille resource centre next year in Kopong village.

The association will convert ordinary literature to Braille using a Braille embosser purchased through the assistance of the Orange Botswana Foundation.

The association's secretary general, Omphemetse Ramobokwa, said the centre would help blind people access information because useful literary material is not available in Braille, hence this sector of the population is excluded.
