BQA unlikely to meet its deadline

At the beginning of the year energetic Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) embarked on a vigorous campaign to enforce the 2013 BQA Act. Four months later, the BQA has covered a lot of ground in terms of information dissemination as well as processing remaining applications received last year. However, MMEGI Staff Writer INNOCENT SELATLHWA observes that the BQA will not meet its December 31 deadline for institutions from pre-primary to tertiary to be compliant

The BQA was established to provide for and maintain the National Credit and Qualifications Framework. It was also to coordinate the education, training and skills development quality assurance system, from early childhood to tertiary level (lifelong learning).

The idea was to have all these institutions of learning accredited by December this year.
