Boys Whipped For Possessing Knives

Two youth, Polite Dongwana and Tshepo Tau were whipped four times on bare buttocks and given suspended jail sentences for possession of offensive weapons on Friday by Urban Customary Court president, Dikwalo Monametsi.

 

The two were arraigned after Special Support Group (SSG) constables arrested them idling in Maruapula on March 16, 2014. The court learnt that the officers searched the duo and discovered the three knives. Tau and his friend Dongwana were arrested after they failed to account for  the knives.
