Boy sent to SA for further examinations

A Princess Marina Hospital doctor Alagesan Siva Raj told Broadhurst magistrate court that Ditiro Jerry has been referred to South Africa for further examination on his condition.

The 12-year-old Jerry who has spent most of the five past months in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at PMH and Bokamoso Private Hospital is a victim a grievous bodily harm allegedly committed by a Bangladeshi, Moahommed Husein Molla.

Dr Siva Raj told the court that the victim was referred to South Africa on October 10, 2016 after he regained consciousness. He said that the victim was re-admitted at PMH on September 14, 2016 with respiratory distress and a tracheotomy was performed the ext morning.
