A collaboration between Botswana and Liberia in the education sector is likely to create opportunities for local graduates in the West African state.

At the invitation of her Liberian counterpart, Education and Skills Development minister, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi is in Monrovia to discuss areas of partnership, which entail the development of a proper education management structure, availing expertise and curriculum development, among other ideas.

In a telephone interview with the minister's private secretary, Oteng Mokowe yesterday it emerged that an acute shortage of trained teachers stares this nation in the eyes. "Liberia has sought our expertise in subjects like Science, Maths, IT and other areas of agriculture, finance and several others," he said.
