Bishop Emeritis Rt. Reverend Boniface Tshosa Setlalekagosi

Bishop Emeritis Rt. Reverend Boniface Tshosa Setlalekgosi of the Roman Catholic of Botswana has died at the age of 91.

Bishop Setlalekgosi who retired in 2009, died at Gaborone Private Hospital on January 25, 2018 at 4:30pm. Setlalekgosi was appointed Bishop in 1981, and ordained in 1982.

He made history by becoming the first Motswana Bishop and the second bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Botswana. Bishop Setlalekgosi succeeded Bishop Urban Murphy, who died in February of 1981.
