BOSETU maintains stance on extra-curricular activities

As the second school term commenced last Tuesday, the Botswana Sectors of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU) said it has not changed its position on the re-instatement of extra-curricular activities in schools.

The union's secretary general, Tobokani Rari, has urged members not to go for what he called 'piece meal' temporary arrangements such as overtime.

In a statement released by the union this week, Rari said the permanent solution to the issue of extra-curricular activities is to have the matter of hours of work in the teaching service resolved.
