BOSETU Campaigns Against Teacher-Student Sexual Relationships

Botswana Sector of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU) has started a nation wide campaign targeting teachers who are involved in sexual relationships with students.

The campaign, themed, My Student, My Child, started last week in Selebi Phikwe, led by BOSETU secretary general Tobokani Rari.

According to Rari, a worrying number of teachers continue to lose their jobs because sexual involvement with students, especially at secondary school level, and as BOSETU, being a trade union for teachers, they cannot just turn a blind eye to the disturbing scenario.
