BONELA's pursuit of principle recognised

The recognition of Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS (BONELA) as a leading human rights organisation has grown steadily, with a string of national and international awards.

The latest is its recent selection as a finalist in the civil society category of the 2010 Drivers of Change awards. BONELA's nomination comes hot on the heels of its Director, Uyapo Ndadi, being named among 2010 Junior Chamber International's Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (JCI TOYP) in the category of contribution to children, world peace and/or human rights.

Ndadi is yet to receive the award. In 2008, BONELA won the AIDS Rights Alliance for Southern Africa award.
The Drivers of Change awards are given annually by the Southern Africa Trust (SAT), a regional donor and policy development agency that supports deeper and wider regional engagement between governments, businesses and civil society organisations to overcome poverty.
