BONELA Rescues 3-Year Old From Abusive Home

The Maun Magistrate Court has granted the Botswana Network on Ethics Law and HIV/AIDS (BONELA) the application to have a three year-old child removed from an abusive home.

Last week, through its Save The Children project, BONELA won an urgent application for the court to order an immediate removal of the child from the custody of its mother for failing to protect her from incessant physical abuse by the father.

Granting the application, the court ordered that it would be in the best interest of the child that she be removed from the care of the mother and be placed under the care, control and safety of Love Botswana Outreach Mission at Lorato House Rescue Centre.
