Bolele wants to be reinstated

Former executive secretary of the Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO) Boitshepo Bolele says she has to be reinstated because her contract of employment was not subject to probation.

Bolele was unceremoniously kicked out less than two months into her job by the executive committee of BOCONGO.
The decision was confirmed by Lobatse High Court judge Michael Leburu after Bolele sued the non-governmental organisation for close to P1 million for unfair dismissal.

Making submissions yesterday before the Court of Appeal (CoA), Bolele, through her attorney, Tendai Mandikate, said  the contract stated that the agreement is to run for three years without reference to probation, while the conditions of service in the record provides for probation.
