President Duma Boko, who is also the leader of the Botswana National Front (BNF), has firmly dismissed allegations that members of the public must pay to access him, stressing that such practices amount to corruption and will not be tolerated.

Speaking at the party’s 60th-anniversary gala dinner at Royal Aria in Tlokweng, Boko made it clear that his leadership stands against any form of bribery or exploitation. Furthermore, he urged those who may have encountered such demands to take decisive action.

“If anyone has demanded that you pay him or her, go and open a case with the Botswana Police,” he said. This came after some public members complained that some people close to the President are making business people pay them to access him.
