A few weeks ago, Botswana National Front (BNF) president, Duma Boko slapped the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crimes with a cumbersome letter accusing the organisation of shoving under the rug corruption allegations against the DIS director, Isaac Kgosi.

In his letter, Boko states that Kgosi’s company, Silver Shadows has conducted some security consultancy services for Deswana. The services were rendered under an agreement signed between Kgosi and Debswana on September 14, 2010. He says that Silver Shadows was paid P200,000 for a job carried out using government resources for Kgosi’s private gain.

“Kgosi abused his office and his stature as the major government spy for his own gain. He clearly would have created the need for said consultancy and used inside information gained from his official functions or his authority to solicit private security related jobs for his company,” Boko pointed out.
