Boitekanelo students donate to Jwaneng

JWANENG: Boitekanelo College’s health promotion and education students have donated five dustbins to Jwaneng residents in an effort to fight littering in the town.

The students made the donation at the end of their attachment at the department of health management in Jwaneng. Their representative, Katlarelo Mmantsima, said that during their three-month stay, they conducted a needs assessment survey in schools and the community in their endeavours to leave a mark in the mining town.

“We then realised that littering is one of the major health hazards in the town and we approached potential sponsors to help us make a difference,” she said.
