BOFEPUSU to probe missing cheques� mystery

The Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) says it will launch a formal investigation with Standard Chartered Bank on missing cheques unearthed by a recent audit.

BOFEPUSU treasurer, Moses Monnatsie told journalists yesterday that an audit of the federation’s books over the last six years had found irregularities with the years 2010, 2011 and 2012.

“Some cheques were missing for the period 2010, 2011 and 2012. We are working with the bank to track that,” said the treasurer.
