Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) is said to have snubbed national labour centre Botswana Federation of Trade Unions (BFTU) to become their advisors as part of the delegation to the International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was held from May 30 to June 10, 2016.

The fight between the two federations has been on going since BOFEPUSU was admitted as one of the recognised labour centres in Botswana. BOFEPUSU claims it has the largest membership in the country. Only recognised national labour centres are allowed a seat at the ILC.

BFTU secretary general, Gadzani Mhotsha said Monday that they had invited BOFEPUSU to submit names of people to be delegates at the ILC but were rejected by BOFEPUSU who never responded to their invitation.
