Bodies fished out of Letsibogo Dam

SELEBI-PHIKWE: A badly decomposed body of a fisherman was retrieved from Letsibogo Dam on Wednesday and buried the same afternoon bringing to an end a three-day search by the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) and the police.

Three fishermen drowned on Sunday afternoon when the boat they were using succumbed to torrid waves and capsized.  One of the fishermen survived after he managed to hold on to a log the entire night until he was rescued the next morning.

The search for the two missing fishermen started on Monday morning in an operation that involved law enforcement officials, traditional leadership and members of the community.
