BMD to take war to UDC

As anticipated, the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) has expelled the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) from its fold. The announcement was made by UDC president Duma Boko yesterday at Oasis Motel.

" However the BMD secretary general Gilbert Mangole said they had not been formally informed about the decision to expel them. The BMD was expelled for “acting against the interests of the UDC”.

Speaking to Mmegi shortly after the press conference, Mangole said he had been in contact with their office and that the letter had not reached them. “I am only hearing about this from you now. I am not in a position to discuss our way forward as we have to be given the letter and discuss it as leadership before mapping a way forward,” he said.
