All roads will lead to Molepolole's Fourways Freedom Square where the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) is to hold its inaugural rally in the Bakwena capital on Saturday.

BMD's national organising secretary, Kabo Morwaeng, said that the rally, whose purpose is to officially launch the party in Molepolole, should be hugely successful as "every Mokwena" is expected to be there. "The chief purpose of the rally, which will be attended by the entire party leadership, is to inform the people why we split from the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), what the BMD has in store for the citizenry and how different it is from the BDP," he said.

Morwaeng said that the party has already introduced itself to other strategic constituencies in the country, and that it was opportune for it to update the people of Molepolole.Morwaeng said that his party was not shaken by the perception that Molepolole is a BDP stronghold. Bakwena understand why the BMD split from the BDP and they will attend the event in large numbers, he added.
