BMD activists accuse Mmolotsi of meddling

FRANCISTOWN: Some Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) members have accused Francistown South legislator, Wynter Mmolotsi, of backing Uyapo Nyeku at the weekend party primaries for Phillip Matante East.

Nyeku triumphed at the party primaries over the weekend trouncing Omphile Mazebedi and Lillian Griesmier. He attracted 183 votes while Griesmier managed 80 votes and Mazebedi came a distant third with 41 votes.

Some members said Mmolotsi’s alleged support was behind Nyeku’s win, alleging that Mmolotsi assisted Nyeku with resources, among them vehicles to transport voters during the primaries.
