BEDIA chief says Kazungula Bridge will boost trade ties

LUSAKA: Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority (BEDIA) manager for Export Enterprise Development, Obert Yuyi has urged the Zambian and Botswana governments to quickly begin the construction of Kazungula bridge to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries.

Speaking during the just ended Zambia International Trade Fair in Ndola,  Yuyi encouraged the Botswana business community to look for opportunities of joint venture and agents in Zambia  in order to enhance their businesses in terms of export. 

Yuyi said BEDIA, being an organisation mandated to attract foreign direct investment (FDIs) into Botswana, had noticed that the construction of the Kazungula Bridge had the potential to contribute to the economic growth of the two countries through the enhancement of trade activities.
