FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) is spying on its errant members and will come down hard on democrats who spill sensitive party information to outsiders, a leaked tape reportedly from an address by Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi indicates.

Masisi, who addressed an internal party meeting at the Tati River Lodge recently, is heard on the tape allegedly boasting about the party’s prowess in monitoring its members’ behaviour.

“Remember I once called you here and I talked to you about it (externalising party information) and you know you were so disrespectful that you went out and posted it (tape on internal meeting) immediately after that (meeting). Hey, we are very advanced.
