FRANCISTOWN: Four of the five branches of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Francistown region have written to the party central committee demanding that the party dissolve the regional committee.

The region, which has been hit by a wave of unrest in recent times, is made up of the Francistown South, West and East, Tati East and Tonota branches. However, Tati East does not form part of the petitioners.

The petition is a two-paged letter written last week Friday and has been signed by the chairpersons of the four branches.
