BDF eyes 16 P3.2BN Korean supersonic fighters

Defense Minister Ndelu Seretse went jet shopping in South Korea for the BDF last month and expressed the desire to acquire eight Korean made T-50 supersonic jet fighters, worth P1.6 billion Pula, with the provision for a further eight, taking the total bill to excess of P3.2 billion.

In fact a team from South Korea is already in Botswana, they jetted in on Saturday to discuss this military acquisition by the BDF according to Korean sources.

  The visit by the senior South Korean military delegation is to expand defense ties and seek opportunities to export homemade trainer jets according to Seoul's defense ministry statement that The Monitor found.
