BDF Commander to be arrested

Justice Zein Kebonang of the Gaborone High Court has this morning ordered for the arrest of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) Commander Lieutenant General Placid Segokgo.

Segokgo was found to be in contempt after failing to reinstate the BDF “love birds” (Thabang Tlhapisang and Kozondu Cisquo Uariaua) as per the Court’s decision of November 18, 2016.

“The said Lieutenant General Placid Segokgo is to be detained with immediate effect for a period of 30 days,” reads the order.
