Barclays Bank on Saturday hosted an artisan fair that brought over 200 young people from artistic companies under one roof. The fair which was held at the University of Botswana business block attracted a large number of young people looking to better their lives but mostly hungry for success.

One of the organisers of the fair, Barclay's community relations manager Yodit Molosi said the main idea behind the fair was to expose young people to various businesses that are doing very well driven by the arts. She said they have identified the obstacles that many people find themselves in when they want to start up their own businesses and they will be addressing them and mostly providing solutions to the youth.

"Barclays have decided to empower young people between the ages of 10-35 with skills we feel may help them in the long run to start up their own business so as to live comfortable lives, these skills include money management, employability and enterprise skills. We are going to be teaching the attendees how to handle their finances well, how to run a successful business, how to do proper market research and all that involves businesses," she said
