Bar exams not discontinued - Seretse

The Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security has not discontinued bar exams for all qualifying citizen law graduates including those who obtained their law degrees from South African universities.

The Minister of Defence Justice and Security, Ramadeluka Seretse said this when answering a question from Francistown West Member of Parliament (MP) Wynter Mmolotsi.

The legislator had asked the minister to state why the bar examination had been discontinued for law students graduating from South African universities. He had also wanted to know how the graduates were going to be assisted to qualify in the local system.
