Banned BNF Aspirant To Run As An Independent

The suspended Botswana National Front (BNF) activist Charles Charles is standing as an independent parliamentary candidate in Mogoditshane.

Charles defeated veteran activist Mokgweetsi Kgosipula during the BNF parliamentary primary elections for Mogoditshane last year.  He received 703 votes against Kgosipula's 629 votes.

But Charles was later slapped with a two-year suspension.  The party then imposed Kgosipula as the BNF candidate for Mogoditshane.
