America Helps Out In Child Malnutrition

The US Embassy on Friday handed over the Princess Marina Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre to the Ministry of Health in its bid to help Botswana reduce child malnutrition.

The US government forked out $2 million (P17.2 million) to be shared in half for the construction of the facility and another centre scheduled to be built in Francistown next year.

According to the latest Botswana Family Health Survey, infant and under-five child mortality is rising.
