FRANCISTOWN: A notorious accused person, Gaomodimo Molosiwa, allegedly slapped a prosecutor who is handling his case at the end of his brief mention last week at the Magistrate Court.

According to eyewitnesses, Molosiwa (27), surreptitiously attacked prosecutor Mompoloki Gaboiphiwe from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) before he was restrained by prison warders in front of Courtrooms Four and Five. One witnesses explained that before the warders handcuffed Molosiwa, he somehow managed to evade the security that was escorting him and unleashed two powerful claps that caught Gaboiphiwe by surprise before the prison officials intervened him.

Said one witness from the DPP who requested anonymity: “The prison warders are to blame for this fracas. They should always handcuff prisoners after court sessions before the prisoners mingle with prosecutors or members of the public.”
