UB Amphitheatre attracts poor crowd turnout

The decision by the Department of Arts and Culture to host the contemporary music and DJ competition finals at the University of Botswana (UB) Amphitheatre worked against their favour on Saturday. The event attracted a small crowd, where it was the first time the finals were staged.

A local artist, who preferred anonymity, said they use the competitions to promote and market themselves.  He said this was also an opportunity to sell their CDs to members of the public who attend the event.
