MAUN: The animosity between Batawana and Bayei tribes in Ngamiland is affecting the operations of Nhabe community museum.

This revelation surfaced during a meeting to elect a new board of directors for the museum when Sanyedi ward chief, Molefabangwe Setlhare made a revelation that Bayei have vowed not to donate their historical artifacts for display at the museum.

Setlhare said this is due to the ongoing Bayei struggle for recognition and independence from Batawana. He explained that so serious is the situation that if government fails to recognise the Bayei, the museum will never have the Bayei artifacts.
