This multi genre sci-fi sees the human race stand on the brink of extinction as aliens decimate the planet, causing earthquakes, tsunamis and disease. Separated from her family, Ohio teenager Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) does whatever it takes to reunite with her brother Sam.
Fate leads her to form an alliance with Evan Walker (Alex Roe), a mysterious young man who may be her last hope. Forced to trust each other, Cassie and Evan fight for survival during the fifth assault from the mysterious earth invaders. This film shares the same vibe as Hunger Games and Insurgent (2015) hence is target audience are youth and young adults. The 5th Wave stars rising action actress Chloë Grace Moretz has excelled in blockbusters like The Equalizer and Kick-Ass. Liev Schreiber is also in the mix dishing out deceitful habits just as he did in the 2010 action thriller film Salt alongside Angelina Jolie. The adventures come from director J Blackson, the same maker of Pitch Perfect (2005).
When claims of such gravity are made, especially by a sitting Assistant Minister they cannot be brushed aside, delayed, or treated as routine political noise. Even the Ombudsman has confirmed receipt of a report from a political party and a review of these complaints is now underway. That is a necessary first step. But it is only the beginning.
