Miss Supranational Top 12 Finalists rocking the designer’s stylish designs

While the horse race was the main attraction Saturday at the Shashe Horse Race Track, the Maun Polo Affair Fashion Show illuminated the scene and wrapped up the day’s event proceedings in style.

It seems the event organisers, DC Tours and DC Lounge overcame earlier challenges presented by the lack of sponsorship after the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture (MYSC) pulled out of the event allegedly due to lack of funds to stage a successful event. The event was an inclusive showcase for the VIP section and it was worth the time and money. Just after enjoying the horse race for the better of the day, the VIP audience was treated to a spectacle of beauty and elegance. Furthermore, the show featured Miss Supranational Botswana Top 12 finalists who strutted some of the latest designs from three local designers Vetavi Marenga of Mariches Tailor Shop, Richwell Katjiteo of Richway Tailor and Gaolatheope Boipelo of Acknowledging Botswana.

Marenga mostly specialises in Safari suits and full body overalls, African and dinner dresses brought a unique and different feeling from your normal fashion shows. The designs were a hit with the audience. Katjiteo’s designs also caught the eye and were quite a fit with the models. This designer specialises in cowboy clothes made from leather works, suits, school uniform, canvas work and he also do all clothes type with mateise and dinner dress. The models looked elegant in the outfits.
