In the world of entertainment, not every event can be of roaring success. Such was the case with the highly anticipated Simply Piano event that had promised to be a night to be remembered but was marred by the negative publicity during the week.

The event had garnered negative publicity after taking to social media that they had booked Shebeshxt. Shebeshxt’s booking later turned out to be bogus as the organisers issued a statement that ‘President Yama 2k’ will not be at Simply Piano. Shebeshxt’s pull out affected the turnout of the first ever Simply Piano as the revellers could not even fill half of the Game City Rooftop Parkade.

Despite the low turnout, the event still forged ahead and some revellers still got to enjoy the performances of Kamo Mphela. The South African national dished out an electrifying performance of 15 minutes. Before her performance, revellers seemed to be out of place and rooted on their camp chairs while some were busy on their phones but that soon changed when she took to the stage.
