Revelers throng Major League gig

Rock N Rollaz nightclub was packed to the rafters on the eve of the Sir Seretse Khama Holiday, as revelers thronged the venue for the Major League gig.

By 10pm, there was no space left on the two dance floors,  named after Major League’s heat tracks Tha Bizness and Slyza Tsotsi. Some of the revellers eventually had to hang around by the club’s balcony, as there was no space inside.

Before Major League’s epic performance, entertainment was provided by local acts that included the likes of DJs Strictly House Bound, KY Carter, DJ Aimo, DJ Bakito, Macx Wa Bana, Casper The DJ and DJ Cupid. The DJs played different sets of music genres such as Hip- Hop, House and Kwaito. Close to midnight, Major League stepped into the club, under the escort of security bodyguards as fans tried to take pictures and touch them. Without wasting any time the duo, which is also a pair of twins, went on the decks for their set. The set started with some deep commercial hip-hop tracks, and they later switched to new age kwaito music.  They took the revelers back in time when they played some old school sounds that comprised of Skwatta Camp and Trompies tracks. They closed their set with their famous hit song Slyza Tsotsi. By this time, most of the revelers were singing along, and gyrating the Slyza Tsotsi dance moves across the dance floor.
