Ramatlapeng: Working to save the Okavango Delta

The wonderful work of Goabaone Ramatlapeng, a woman on a quest to save the Okavango delta, has not gone unnoticed. Arts & Culture reporter, GOITSEMODIMO KAELO, caught up with her following her recent international recognition to hear more about her work

Arts & Culture: Firstly, can you tell us about yourself, who is Goabaone Ramatlapeng?

Ramatlapeng: I am a Geoscientist from Botswana who is currently pursuing her PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Davis, USA. I was born and raised in Botswana.
