Spring Xplosion organiser, Kunaal ‘DJ Kuchi’ Jinabhai has confirmed that security has been beefed up for tonight’s Spring Xplosion, which is scheduled to take place at Fairgrounds Holdings.

More than 400 security personnel, including 60 police officers, 120 bouncers and 220 security guards, will guard attendees. The security guards will be armed with shockers, teaser guns, metal detectors and shamboks.

DJ Kuchi said security had to be beefed up because of the previous Summer Xplosion, which was held at the same venue. “We have learned a lot from the previous at Fairgrounds, some strong points and others to improve on,” he said. “The station commander also briefed our security teams about the venue and the area.” Revellers have also been advised to park their vehicles inside the venue.
