Miss World South Africa, Zoalize Van Rensburg, is in Botswana to grace the highly anticipated crowning ceremony of Miss Botswana 2025 at an event set to take place tomorrow.

In an interview with Arts & Culture, Miss World South Africa underscored strong ties that exist between her country and Botswana especially in the pageantry space.

She spoke highly of the relationship between the two nations highlighting that it goes all the way back with queens from Botswana having had graced their crowning ceremonies too. “Our relationship with Botswana is a special one, one that we cherish hence why I am here today. I mean Miss Botswana graced our crowning ceremony and this speaks how big our relationship is,” enthused Van Rensburg. During the interview, Miss World South Africa said couldn’t wait for the event and see who will be the lucky winner on the day. Speaking about the beauty industry in Botswana, Van Rensburg stated that the country boasts of enormous talent taking an inspiration from Lesego Chombo who is now a Cabinet minister and Specially Elected Member of Parliament. “Botswana has such a great talent in pageantry and the beauty industry. I have managed to interact with Chombo before and I have to say ‘what a great human being she is’ and look what she has achieved. Anicia too is one of a kind,” she said.
